As I mentioned here I’m wanting to update our bedding with everything white. After I saw these pillows I knew they were perfect for our bedroom. While I was home over the holidays I took advantage of my mom’s sewing machine and skills and we worked on our own version of the pillow together. We bought a thick white upholstery fabric and two-inch black velvet ribbon — overall we were able to do the project very inexpensively. The back is an envelope back which made the whole project very simple. I’m super happy with how they turned out {thanks for the help, Mom!}
While I was home over Christmas I went on a fun antiquing trip with my mom and sisters. It’s become a tradition {here are some of last year’s finds} and this year I scored this gorgeous set of lavender ombre glasses. Ever since Nicole posted about her ombre salad bowls I’ve been on the hunt for a set of something similar. I included them in a place setting for dinner last night while we were entertaining friends {along with West Elm plates and flatware} and I love the pretty bit of color they added to the table.
P.S. An exciting announcement on the blog tomorrow!
+ {Above} I finally got my favorite Etsy print hung. Sort of obsessed with it.
+ Has anyone checked out the Nate Berkus for Target collab yet? This is the first time I’ve bought anything from a Target/designer collaboration — I snagged this pillow and this vase. So excited about both.
+ Speaking of home decor, I’m loving Zara’s home line. I have my eye on this, this and this. Have your purchased anything from them yet? I’m interested in hearing about the quality of everything.
