Loving Lately

BEAUTY // I recently had a facial where they used a red light and I loved it. After some research I purchased this one and am loving using it and already notice a glow on my skin. The results take a few weeks to see fully, but using the light is also super calming and relaxing – my favourite part of my evening routine.

ART // I’m loving this Instagram account with thoughtful, inspiring quotes from famous artists. Definitely worth a follow!

FASHION // January in London can be brutal but this Acne scarf is keeping me warm – it’s so big and cozy. Combined with my favourite coat brand and boots you can’t go wrong.

INTERIORS// I recently discovered this incense which I’m now using all the time. It smells so light and natural and it’s perfect for burning in the winter months.

Collecting Art

You know you’re getting old when you start to get excited about aquiring art pieces for your home – though I’ve always loved art I’ve mainly collected prints and photographs from places like art.com and Etsy. I’ve been admiring original, one-of-a-kind pieces in friend’s homes and I’m on a mission to start slowly building our collection.

The best places  to find unique pieces are local art exhibitions and London has tons of them (check here and here). I’ve been perusing Saatchi and Exhibition A who have some amazing artists selling at varying price points (I’m obsessed with this).  I’ve also found a few artists I love (like Wayne Pate) through Kate’s blog – she has such an amazing eye.

What about you? Where are your favorite places to find original art pieces?

P.S. A home update with some of the pieces I’ve found is in order!

Morgane’s Parisian apartment is perfectly curated with layers of art and color. French design at its finest!

Parisian Bedroom

I’ve had Paris on my mind lately so I’ve rounded up a few of my Parisian-inspired pieces. I’ll be adding these pillowcases for a fun glam twist to the bedroom. Do you have any bits of Paris around your home? It’s such a trend in fashion too, hoping it’s here to stay!

Beachy

Lately I’ve been on the hunt for a beach photograph to put in our new home once we move. I’ve saved these images as inspiration — such a chic look, no? I love the large-scale prints. I think Christian Chaize {top and bottom picture} and Massimo Vitali {middle images} are the kings of beach photography. Also loving this super affordable option.
