01-03  We went for a long weekend in La Rochelle, France and it was just what we needed – super chill, amazing wine, and lots of time in the sun by the pool. We passed the most insane fields of sunflowers that went on forever, had to stop and get a picture! And La Rochelle is the cutest city, I am so obsessed with France and feel so lucky that we live so closeby.

04 Back home, visiting Camden Garden Centre which is my favorite nursery. They have everything! I’ve bought so many of my plants from there.

05 A night watching the Multi-Story Orchestra in the parking lot of Frank’s.

06 Fave summer outfit {can’t get enough of off-the-shoulder tops}. My top is from the gorgeous brand Style Mafia {everything is so beautiful and affordable} and my jeans are J Brand {always my go-to}.

That in-between season is always awkward for dressomg, especially in England where the weather can go from tropical to freezing in a matter of hours. Layering is key and a good, light jacket {which I will be wearing over my off the shoulder tops, I don’t want to retire them yet!} is a must!

Collecting Art

You know you’re getting old when you start to get excited about aquiring art pieces for your home – though I’ve always loved art I’ve mainly collected prints and photographs from places like art.com and Etsy. I’ve been admiring original, one-of-a-kind pieces in friend’s homes and I’m on a mission to start slowly building our collection.

The best places  to find unique pieces are local art exhibitions and London has tons of them (check here and here). I’ve been perusing Saatchi and Exhibition A who have some amazing artists selling at varying price points (I’m obsessed with this).  I’ve also found a few artists I love (like Wayne Pate) through Kate’s blog – she has such an amazing eye.

Neck Scarves

I’m loving this look and have been wearing it everywhere, swapping out my necklaces for bandanas and skinny scarves. It’s so easy and adds such a statement to any outfit, definitely something I’ll be wearing all summer! I love every single one of these scarves {and here!} but any old bandana will do, too.
