I want to start featuring some of my favorite restaurants around London on the blog — there are so many good ones that we love and a few of you have asked for some suggestions, so this will become a more regular feature here.

First up is one of the best spots for breakfast or brunch: The Modern Pantry. Going here always ends up as one of those situations where I promise myself that I’ll try something new, but their raspberry ricotta pancakes are so good that I order them every time — and I’ve never regretted it. Everything on the menu is super fresh and filling and they also do a really nice lunch.

Life Update

I’ve definitely been neglecting this little space of mine lately, but it’s for good reasons, I promise! This summer has been amazing weather-wise and I’ve been totally soaking it up. Last weekend we went on a date to Primrose Hill (for any London locals, this is such a fun and chilled out evening or date night idea): we grabbed wine at one of the local wine bars then afterwards hiked up Primrose Hill in Regent’s Park and sat at the top to watch the sun set. Primrose Hill is one of my favorite little spots in London and the views at the top didn’t disappoint. We had fun trying to find our offices, our flat, and all the landmarks — it’s such a perfect, panoramic view of the city. If you haven’t been, go! Of course I had to include an image of a delicious meal we had at the local gastropub. We’ve been loving it, and been feeling totally British have a Sunday roast at the local pub. I also wanted to share a quick peek at our flat, while we were dreading the move a few months ago, it’s turned out to be such a positive thing and we love the space we’re in. Our summer nights are spent out on the deck drinking red wine and watching the sun go down over London.

Hope your summer has been wonderful, whatever part of the world you’re in!

I wasn’t expecting to take so much time off blogging but between the move and getting settled in, and having my sister-in-law and baby nephew visit, life has been packed and blogging has taken a back seat. We’re finally moved into our new place and while I’m missing my sis and nephew {we had a blast exploring London and Paris!} I’m slowly getting back into my normal routine. I wanted to share a few pictures of what my time off has looked like: travel, family, unpacking + getting settled, and loving Springtime in London.

P.S. Can you believe we moved to London one year ago? Time flies!

Moving In

Matt and I have successfully moved into our sixth home in three and a half years of marriage — and we are so happy and relieved. We now have an extra bedroom and a lovely deck which means more comfortable entertaining — come visit! More updates on the flat soon.
