I’ve had Paris on my mind lately so I’ve rounded up a few of my Parisian-inspired pieces. I’ll be adding these pillowcases for a fun glam twist to the bedroom. Do you have any bits of Paris around your home? It’s such a trend in fashion too, hoping it’s here to stay!

Chair Makeover

Remember these guys? I bought them on Craigslist last Fall and asked you all for some input on what should do with them.

I love a good DIY but these were a little more challenging than I had anticipated. The wood wouldn’t take normal stain and I wasn’t feeling painting over the wood so I thought we were stuck. After a little research, I finally found gel stain and it worked like a charm.

After staining it I took it to a local upholsterer and had them re-cover the chairs in West Elm’s dove gray velvet. It’s such a gorgeous fabric!

They’ve made it all the way across the pond and they’re perfect in our little flat.

I recently came across the gorgeous Sydney home of Simone Giorgi. The gorgeous wallpaper caught my eye at first but going through I’m sort of obsessed with everything — the bedroom’s dark walls, the gorgeous lighting and marble in the kitchen, (that Hermès pillow…). Not to mention the homeowner is the cutest ever. I’ll take her hair, and her jumpsuit, please!

Lamp Love

I’ve been spotting these insect-like lamps around some of my favorite decor sites and I kind of love them. They are by French designer Serge Mouille and since they cost an arm and a leg I’ve found a few wallet-friendlier options here and here. What do you think about these lamps? Cool or creepy?
