Jackets

Whenever people ask for fashion advice, I have one go-to that never fails: invest in a few nice jackets. They’re so easy to layer over tees {I love James Perse for tees, and also J.Crew’s vintage v-necks} and throw them with skirts, jeans, or dresses. I cannot stress enough how much a nicely tailored jacket can transform your look. I’m a bit of a jacket hoarder, I feel like jackets for me are a bit like what shoes or purses are to most women — I love having a collection! I’ve built my collection over time but I think every wardrobe needs a nice leather, tweed, and wildcard {a fun color or print!} jacket.
A few favorites:
Leather | Of course this Burberry number is to die for, but for something a little more wallet friendly, try this Topshop one or this from Asos. Muubaa makes amazing jackets and I’m also loving the drapey style: I love this one and this one.
Tweed | Obsessed with the shape of this jacket and this one under $100. If you’re more classic you can’t go wrong with a Chanel lookalike, right? Loving the idea of a more colorful one {like in the second picture above} and this Milly number and this J.Crew option are pretty perfect.
Wildcard | A fun print, a gorgeous forest green {under $100}, camo, tri-color {love!}, leather bow, and this navy one is just my favorite ever.

Happy Weekend

I’m so glad the weekend’s here! This one will be extra fun — two friends that I’ve been close to since freshman year of high school are visiting. It’s been super fun showing them our city and I’m so happy to have a little bit of home here in London.
A few linkitys to look through over the weekend:
+ Loved reading this little tidbit about NYFW vs. LFW.
+ I’m in total fall recipe mode and this and this are on my meal plan for next week.

Style Stalking

I recently came across Bea Fagerholt, Assistant Fashion Editor at Eurowoman. I was intrigued when I found the first image on Tumblr and wanted to find more of her effortless style and adorable home. After some style stalking, I found way more images of her wardrobe and home and just had to share! I love her makeup organization and her amazing collection of jackets {a girl after my own heart!}

Wednesday Loves

Some of my fall favorites, all rolled into one giant collage. I’ve been wearing my Loeffler Randall booties everywhere and I’m loving the florals on that ALC dress! What’s on your wish list for fall?
