Weekend

Happy weekend! We’re flying out to Seattle tomorrow — definitely a bittersweet feeling.
We’ve loved living in New York and we will miss it a lot. I think New York is my favorite city that I’ve lived in so far — I’ve met some incredible people and had some amazing experiences that I’ll remember for the rest of my life. But, I know exciting things await in Seattle, too!
Some links for your weekend:
+ And in case you missed them, I guest posted on three lovely blogs this week: Alison’s, Eileen’s, and Julia’s.
Have a fabulous weekend!

Work Space

Though I love all of the travel and experiencing new cities we’ve been able to do, a piece of me is excited to be in a place for a longer period of time — somewhere more permanent where we can paint and wallpaper and feel like it’s our home for a long, long time. Hopefully by this time next year we’ll be settled and I’ll be able to put some of my decorating ideas into practice. I’ll be starting a series on the blog of inspiration boards of different rooms in the house. Hopefully it’s inspiring, and it’s a way for me to organize my decorating ideas, too! First up is the work space.

I love light and bright in a work space, it makes me feel more creative and organized. What’s in your dream work space?

Also: I’m so excited to be guest posting on two of my favorite blogs today! I’m participating in Eileen’s Everyday Series {such a cute series!} here! And, I’m over on The Urban Slant with a beach weekend packing list. Be sure to stop by these two lovely ladies’ blogs!

Zara Asymmetrical Court Shoe Twin

I’ve gotten a couple emails about the Zara asymmetrical court shoe I posted about here. They’ve been seen on tons of fashion bloggers, during many fashion weeks, and as they’ve gotten more rare they are selling on eBay for $500+! I came across these alternatives by Alice + Olivia. They have such a similar shape and have gotten great reviews on the site, these would be a great alternative if you’re still on the hunt for the original Zara version.
P.S. I’m over on {long distance loving} guest posting today! Be sure to pop over and say hello!

Four from the Weekend

01. My first ever romper! I was so hesitant about them at first but I love this one.
02. Saturday was my mom’s birthday so we surprised her by taking the train from New York to Annapolis to visit my family. The trip was too short, but it was so good spending time with my family and celebrating with everyone.
03. A perk of going home — seeing my sweet niece, June. She can now balance cereal puffs on her nose. So talented.
04. My sister-in-law’s amazing DIY painted chest. You can read more about it here
This is our last week in New York — we’ll be flying out to Seattle next week to live for the remainder of the summer. It’s so bittersweet, I don’t think I’m ready to leave this city!
Hope you had a wonderful weekend!
