London, We Love You

We’re back from our quick visit to London and we already can’t wait to get back. I feel so lucky to soon be calling London home. We barely tapped into all the things you can do in the city but highlights included afternoon teas at The Orangery at Kensington Palace and Selfridges, a trip to Harrods {so amazing!}, the British Museum, eating at one of Gordon Ramsay’s restaurants, and of course seeing Big Ben. I’m so excited to find our flat and have a little space in the city that we can call ours.

Jet-Setting

We are headed to London for a quick visit today! M’s company is hosting us and we’re so excited for a quick European vacation. I haven’t been to Europe since high school and I have major butterflies {although I’m a little nervous about the super long flight and super crazy time difference. We’ll probably adjust to the jetlag just in time for our flight back on Sunday!}
So, sell us on London. What should we see and do while we’re there? I know we’ll have plenty of time to do everything after we move there, but we want to enjoy the city and get a good feel of what it will be like.
I have a few posts scheduled and will be back next week with a full re-cap! In the meantime feel free to follow along on Twitter and Instagram

NOLA

We’ve been in New Orleans the past few days visiting with Matt’s sister. It’s my first time and I’m completely blown away by what a cool city it is — we’re loving the jazz, good southern food, gorgeous plantations, and of course time with family.

Have a happy weekend!
P.S. I have some very very exciting news to share next week.* Stay tuned!
*The news has nothing to do with babies/pregnancies. It’s better. xoxo

Four from the Weekend

01. My first ever romper! I was so hesitant about them at first but I love this one.
02. Saturday was my mom’s birthday so we surprised her by taking the train from New York to Annapolis to visit my family. The trip was too short, but it was so good spending time with my family and celebrating with everyone.
03. A perk of going home — seeing my sweet niece, June. She can now balance cereal puffs on her nose. So talented.
04. My sister-in-law’s amazing DIY painted chest. You can read more about it here
This is our last week in New York — we’ll be flying out to Seattle next week to live for the remainder of the summer. It’s so bittersweet, I don’t think I’m ready to leave this city!
Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

First Sights in NY

01. On our way to see this movie in Times Square.
02. Exploring the park near our apartment.
03. Gorgeous bright pink peonies in the West Village.
04. A favorite little shop where I spent lots of time + money. :)
05. The skyline.
Matt and I are settling in, starting work, and getting into a routine. Still can’t believe we live here now! More to come.
