This weekend was: tons of laundry and cleaning, a few visits to the gym, walks along the canal, and some good food {pictured: Villandry and The Summerhouse, I recommend both!}.
Regents Park in the sunshine, a gorgeous home that reminds me of The Great Gatsby, photo booth fun and gorgeous racks of clothes at an Outnet event, Shake Shack has opened in London {!} meeting these two cute Londoners, exploring a gorgeous nursery near our home, Covent Garden in the summer.
A few snaps of life lately as documented by the iPhone. We’re loving London summer and the excitement of news of a royal baby boy!
Remember these guys? I bought them on Craigslist last Fall and asked you all for some input on what should do with them.
I love a good DIY but these were a little more challenging than I had anticipated. The wood wouldn’t take normal stain and I wasn’t feeling painting over the wood so I thought we were stuck. After a little research, I finally found gel stain and it worked like a charm.
After staining it I took it to a local upholsterer and had them re-cover the chairs in West Elm’s dove gray velvet. It’s such a gorgeous fabric!
They’ve made it all the way across the pond and they’re perfect in our little flat.
Sorry for the silence around here lately — life has been super busy and our move has been taking up a huge portion of our time. We’ve been painting and really making it ours — we’re almost all settled! I’m excited to be back to regular posting around here.
Hope you enjoy the little snapshots into our London life!
