Though I love all of the travel and experiencing new cities we’ve been able to do, a piece of me is excited to be in a place for a longer period of time — somewhere more permanent where we can paint and wallpaper and feel like it’s our home for a long, long time. Hopefully by this time next year we’ll be settled and I’ll be able to put some of my decorating ideas into practice. I’ll be starting a series on the blog of inspiration boards of different rooms in the house. Hopefully it’s inspiring, and it’s a way for me to organize my decorating ideas, too! First up is the work space.
I love light and bright in a work space, it makes me feel more creative and organized. What’s in your dream work space?

Ever since I saw a Nicole Cohen’s home feature in Rue {first image} I’ve been loving the look of Platner tables — the modern, wire tables with glass tops. They look fabulous as a dining or side table but my heart is set on the coffee table version, they’re such a statement piece. They are available here, but I’ve also seen them pop up on eBay and Craigslist for less expensive. What do you think of Platner tables? Are they a go or no?
Our old dining table just broke, so we’re on the hunt for one that will fit in the smaller apartments we’ll be living in for the next few years. These tulip tables are perfect, and I can see them turning into a breakfast nook table when we graduate into a bigger house with a bigger dining table.
