Wednesday Thoughts

Lately:

+ Teaching myself Sketchup in hopes of making my interior designer dreams come true. Has anyone used it? Any tips?
+ Prepping my wardrobe for a fun summer in two fun cities. Wanting to add these ikat shorts and these wedges.
+ Finally got around to making these no-bake energy bites I’ve been seeing on Pinterest. They’re so good and the perfect snack to take to work.
+ Watched The Hunger Games {with a lot of high schoolers}. Thinking about starting the books?
+ Getting excited about our big move to the Big Apple. We finally found a place to live, makes it so real!

Also: Please hop over to one of my favorite blogs, The Vault Files where I’m participating in Gaby’s In My Makeup Bag series!

  1. Sketchup is such a pain to learn, I never really got the hang of it. CAD was much easier for me, but now, 6 momths out of school I forgot it all, oops! I’ve been wanting to make those no-bake energy bites, I really need to! And lastlyyy, you definitely should read The Hunger Games books. They are incredible. Way better than the movie.

  2. I love your picture of pretties! Moving to New York would be so fun! And I just downloaded The Hunger Games book on my iPad. Ready for a 24-hour flight with AJ. Alone without the hubby and 7 months pregnant. Should be a lot of fun!

  3. Loved your makeup post!

So excited for you to be moving to NYC! My bff lives there so we will definitely have to make plans to meet one day! ;)

That Sketchup program looks like fun! I’m pretty intimidated by numbers and math, so I’m not sure I’d be all that great at it! Let me know how you like it!

  4. i spent so many of my college days in sketchup land! it’s a fun spot. it’s quite intuitive and easy to learn in my experience. and GREAT for clients who have trouble visualizing their mocked-up space in three dimension!

  5. What a fun blog! (Thanks for stopping in on mine.) I haven’t seen the movie yet, but I did really enjoy The Hunger Games books. Lots of fun. I also made those energy bites (I cut them like granola bars) – super easy and yummy! And NYC and Seattle! Two of my favorites for sure. You’ll have a blast in both. Good luck!
