Cold, rainy days call for warm blanket capes and hats {see also: this post}. I’m loving this Topshop cape and have been wearing it everywhere in lieu of a jacket, so cozy and warm! Have you tried out the cape trend at all?
I love this checklist that’s floating around on Pinterest right now — it’s so helpful to have a tangible list of basics that you can easily mix and match depending on the occasion or season. This is a great way to start building your wardrobe and you can add in trendier, interesting pieces to fill it in as you go. There are a few things I’m missing off of here {a leather jacket is high up on my list!} and a few items I’d add to it: a nice pea coat and a classic pair of sunglasses {like Ray-Bans} are musts for me.
